Dover man Bradley Thomson charged over assaults

A man has appeared in court after five people were assaulted in two serious attacks.
Bradley Thomson has been charged with 10 offences following the separate incidents in Dover in the last six days.
During the first incident, which took place on Saturday night, officers were called to a report a man was seriously injured following an assault in London Road.
The victim suffered head injuries which required hospital treatment.
On Wednesday, June 14, police then received reports of a disturbance in which threats had been made to a number of people and four people had been assaulted in Tower Hamlets Street and Wyndham Road.
Thomson was later arrested and has now been charged with two counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, a public order offence and one count of affray.
He was also charged with two counts of threatening with an offensive weapon in a public place (a belt and a two-pronged fork), two counts of assault by beating, one count of common assault, possession of a bladed article in a public place and possession of cannabis.
The 25-year-old, of Folkestone Road, appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court today and was remanded in custody.
The case will next be heard at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, July 17.
Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses relating to the assault in London Road which took place just after 11pm on Saturday, June 10.
