Man charged with multiple thefts in Dover High Street

A man has been charged with 19 offences including multiple thefts, racially abusing an officer and threats to kill.
Luke Tucker has been accused of stealing items such as food and alcohol on Tuesday, June 13 in Dover High Street as well as claims he racially abused an officer and made threats to kill the following day.
Following the incidents Tucker, 29, of no fixed address, was arrested.
In a separate case, he also faces a further 11 charges from incidents that allegedly took place on January 5.
This includes three counts of racially aggravated harassment towards a person, four counts of using threatening behaviour and criminal damage to the door of a police van.
A police spokesman said: “The offences are being investigated by Dover’s Victim Based Crime Team (VBCT), which is focused on targeting prolific and repeat offenders and bringing individuals to justice.
“Officers in the team work relentlessly to hold offenders to account at the earliest opportunity, in order to deter and reduce the negative impact criminals can have upon local communities and businesses in Dover.”
Tucker has been remanded in custody and is next due to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on August 25.
