Man fatally crushed at depot is named

A MAN who suffered crush injuries after an industrial air conditioning unit toppled on to him at Whitfield Recycling Depot near Dover has died at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital.
He was Clive Kelly, 54, of Chamberlain Road, Dover. He was with a workmate helping move the unit when the accident occurred just after 1.10pm on Saturday.
Eyewitnesses told police that the unit appeared to topple from the bucket of heavy lifting gear.
Health and Safety officials are investigating the tragedy. An inquest will be held.
