Man appears in court after jewellery stolen from homes during suspected distraction burglaries in Dover and Hythe

A suspect has appeared in court in connection with a series of suspected distraction burglaries.
An investigation was launched after three similar reports of items being stolen in Dover and Hythe during loft insulation work at homes between May 31 and June 26 this year.
Stuart McAllister of Strand Street, Sandwich, was arrested yesterday (July 17) and charged on suspicion of burglary in relation to the three incidents.
The 60-year-old appeared before Margate Magistrates’ Court today.
He was bailed to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, August 19.
