Dover man jailed after more than £2,000 worth of meat stolen from Marks and Spencer at St James Retail Park

A shoplifter has been jailed after more than £2,000 worth of meat was stolen from a Marks & Spencer store.

A spate of shoplifting offences from the food outlet at St James Retail Park in Dover was reported to have happened between December 31, 2023, and January 30.

Following an investigation, Christopher Bygraves was charged with 13 counts of theft on February 4.

The following day the 35-year-old, of Durham Hill, Dover, appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court and was given a 26-week sentence after pleading guilty to all of the offences.
