00:00, 14 March 2002
DETECTIVES are searching for a man after a woman's body was discovered in a house in Cedar Close, Dover. They were called to the four bedroom, end of terrace home, at about 10.30am today and found the 30-year-old mother of four dead inside.
Neighbours said the woman had lived there about four years and was believed to be estranged from her husband.
One of the neighbours, who did not wish to be named, said: "She idolised her children and was a full time mum."
RSPCA inspector Patrick Hamby took away the family pets, a Bull Mastiff Rottweiller Cross, Annie, a Jack Russell, Toby, and two cats.
A Dover fire crew were called to assist scenes of crime officers with the removal of a carrier bag trapped on the roof which was thought might contain evidence.
The oldest child is a girl of 12 with brothers aged 11 and twins aged nine.
