Woman, 32, from Hornchurch, Essex, who died in freak smash is named locally as Remi Akinmoyewa

The 32-year-old woman from Hornchurch, Essex, who died in a freak accident last Thursday, has been named locally.

Remi Akinmyewa was driving a silver Toyota Corolla down the A20, when her car, according to Kent Police, lost control at the Aycliffe roundabout.

The Essex woman was a primary French teacher and a mother-of-two.

CCTV footage had captured her driving over the Dartford bridge at around 8.15am, around an hour before the tragic incident happened.

The car launched itself, some 10ft in the air into the Megger multi-storey car park.

Two stationary cars were damaged in the incident and no other motorists were involved.

A crowd of P&O workers, based in the adjacent Channel House office, watched on in disbelief.

Police are investigating the crash, and witnesses are asked to contact Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538.
