An appeal has been launched to provide a memorial bench for Kelly Turner.
Jordan Walton, one of Kelly's staunchest supporters in the campaign to save her from a rare cancer, has put out an appeal for £1,500.
The bench would be placed in the Dover Seafront area and so far £795, has already been raised.
Mr Walton told the Mercury: "Having this bench would mean a lot to me. Kelly was an inspiration to so many people."
Mr Walton was one of the regular fundraisers in the campaign to raise money for specialist treatment in New York to try to save her life.
In June he walked from Dover seafront to Pegwell Bay and took on the 2017 Boxing Day Dip in Dover.
He raised £10,000 through his own efforts.
Mr Walton met Kelly and her parents Linda and Martin in 2016, when the mass fundraising campaign for her started.
He raised £720 through his part in that summer's Dover Regatta.
Among other regular fundraisers for Kelly have been Richard Esdale, who organised concerts, and John Ashman who slept rough for a week in freezing temperatures.
Mr Walton's bench appeal is being supported by Linda and Martin.
Kelly, from Dover, had an extremely rare teenager cancer called desmoplastic small round cell tumours and died last November 6, aged 17.
Her ashes were interred in the grounds of St Mary's Church in Dover on March 24, on what would have been her 18th birthday.
The money originally raised to save Kelly has gone to the Institute of Cancer Research to help in treatment of others with her condition.
It is to discover targeted chemotherapy or a cure for DSRCT as neither exist at present..
The fundraising for this, separate from the bench appeal, continues through the Kelly Turner Foundation and the sum raised so far, up to today ,is £621,594.
All money raised for this has gone straight to the ICR and this continues with new donations.
