Trains running through Dover Priory were affected by objects on the track.
Members of the public were spotted throwing items at the railway just before 8pm.
The items damaged the track and trains could not run on the line until it was repaired.
Services running via Dover Priory or Ramsgate through the station were delayed or cancelled.
Trains could not run between Dover Priory and Ramsgate (via Deal) or to Canterbury East.
Southeastern confirmed the line was cleared by about 10pm.
