A pensioner has been saved from a car crash by emergency services.
A man in his 80s became trapped by his injuries, after two vehicles collided on the A258 Deal Road near Dover at about 6.10pm yesterday.
Two fire engines attended the scene, along with police and ambulance crews.
The elderly man was rescued from his car, and firefighters and paramedics together transferred him into an ambulance.
Fire crews then made the scene safe and were there from 6.11pm to 6.50pm.
A police spokesman said: "A road closure was enforced to ensure public safety and the scene was clear by around 8.45pm."
While emergency services dealt with the crash Dover-bound traffic was diverted onto Station Road.
Drivers then had to go through St Margaret's-at-Cliffe, and Upper Road, which passes the White Cliffs, to get to Dover.
The ambulance service has been approached for more information.
