Police called to St Margaret’s Bay in Dover

Police have been called to St Margaret's Bay in Dover this evening (Tuesday).
Officers were called at around 5pm following a report of a missing man.
The coastguard were also called to assist.
Police have not confirmed any connection between the operation and the search for Alex Holland.
A local resident told KentOnline: "A rescue helicopter hovered above Ness Point for about half hour from about 7.30pm.
"About half a dozen rescuers were at the promenade
"At least 20 officers were present and eight emergency response vehicles at one time."
Enquiries are ongoing and officers remained at the scene during the evening.
