A2 crash: Minibus driver fined for careless driving

A minibus driver has been fined after falling asleep at the wheel and ploughing into a car on a dual carriageway.
Police officers were called to the A2 at Lydden after the crash, where the minibus hit the back of a silver BMW.
The BMW appeared to be damaged to the rear, and was left stricken by the road side, while the minibus appeared to sustain damage to its front left tyres.
Police say they were called at 12.55am on Saturday, January 6 to the crash. The minibus driver was issued with a graduated fixed penalty notice (GFPN) for careless driving.
Both vehicles were recovered from the road by 3am.
