Two police officers were taken to hospital following a late night crash in Dover.
A police car, which was responding to another call, was involved in a collision with another vehicle at around 8.15pm last night at the junction of Castle Street and Maison Dieu Road.
Emergency services, including fire, ambulance and more police, descended on the area, with Woolcomber Street, Castle Street, Castle Hill Road and part of Maison Dieu Road all temporarily closed.
Firefighters used specialist tools to remove the roof of one of the vehicles and free one person.
Another was already out of the vehicle when crews arrived.
A woman was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and has since been released pending further enquiries.
Both police officers sustained injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.
Crews remained at the scene for several hours, with cordons removed at around 1am.
