As temperatures in Kent look set to rise today there are fears pollution levels could too.
On what is expected to be the hottest day of the year so far, experts are warning the high temperatures may coincide with increased air pollution across the county.
Parts of the coast from Thanet to Dover are expected to be worst affected by an "agricultural smog" - made up of farm chemicals from the continent.
According to the latest forecast from the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) air pollution levels in areas including Broadstairs, Botany Bay and Ramsgate are set to reach level 9, high.
In St Margarets Bay and St Margarets at Cliffe it could reach level 10, very high.
Official advice says adults and children with lung problems, adults with heart problems, and older people, should avoid strenuous physical activity.
While, people with asthma may find they need to use their reliever inhaler more often.
The rest of the population is advised to reduce physical exertion, particularly outdoors, especially if they experience symptoms such as cough or sore throat.
Forecasters say temperatures could hit 19 degrees Celsius.
