Big Mac lovers will have to go miles further for their treat.
The only McDonald's in Dover district is shut for a month and the nearest is nine miles away in Park Farm Road, Folkestone.
The Whitfield diner in Sandwich Road has been temporarily closed since last Monday for major work.
A banner on the site tells customers it will re-open on June 28.
The changes include reducing parking spaces there from 22 to 15 because more customers are using drive through takeaway and delivery services.
More work is being done inside the restaurant as part of the corportion's Convenience of the Future project for its restaurants.
This also includes an improved car park layout to provide separate spaces for couriers.
Modified traffic routes will also be created to improve circulation around the restaurant so it is easier for drive through and click and collect customers to get their orders.
There will also be a front counter redesign.
A McDonald's spokesman said: "This will create specific areas for different sales channels, meaning more space for customers to enjoy their meal, less congestion around touchscreens and shorter queues."
Other improvements will include a dedicated courier waiting area and entrance to meet their needs and prevent the dining area being crowded.
There will also be a new kitchen design to provide a bigger order assembly area and dedicated places to prepare delivery and dine-in orders. That is also to help crews provide a faster and more efficient service.
