An open workshop was due to be hosted by the Port of Dover today to show residents plans to revive the Western Docks.
It was held at the Cruise Terminal.
As previously reported in the Mercury, the plans should safeguard 140 jobs and create an additional 600.
It will develop a new cargo terminal and port centric distribution area.
The port says its plans will revive the area, protect long-term capacity and enable the transformation of the waterfront with the potential creation of a new marina.
Residents were due to discuss the plans as well as listen to several Dover Harbour Board speakers.
