A road will be closed tonight for resurfacing after a large fuel spill this morning.
The A20 on approach to the Port of Dover was shut between the A256 and the A2 following a crash involving a lorry and car at about 7am before being reopened.
The section of road will be shut again from 9pm until 5am tomorrow so the road surface can be repaired and a diversion will be in place.
Emergency services including police and the fire service were called after the accident.
There was a significant diesel spillage across the carriageway.
Photos show the damage caused to the car after the collision, which happened at the traffic lights at the junction with the A256.
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called to the junction of Townwall Street and Woolcomber Street, Dover at 6.57am following a report of a collision involving a lorry and a car.
"No injuries were reported and Highways were called to clear fuel spill."
