Police attend crash between car and lorry on the A256 near Whitfield

Police were called to the scene of a serious crash involving a car and a lorry near Whitfield today.
It happened along the A256 just after midday.
Officers and ambulance crews were called to the scene.
A witness said the crash involved a silver Hyundai Coupe, which was parked in the slow lane with its hazard lights on.
It is believed the lorry crashed into the back of it, leaving the vehicle "in pieces" and the lorry is said to be the bushes.
A rolling road block was used to ensure public safety Kent Police said the road is not closed.
