Sue's seafood unit on Dover's Harbour is up for sale
12:00, 15 June 2014
Sue’s Seafood stall, located on the harbour is up for sale, and only to a Dover buyer, the Mercury can reveal.
Owner Sue Robus, who has been running her business for six-and-a-half years, started off selling seafood in pubs from a bicycle.
Miss Robus, 40, who was born and brought up in Dover, has described the business as “upbeat” and one that is going from strength to strength.
Permission has been granted for Miss Robus to sell the unit at its current location, and for it to continue to operate as a seafood stall.
She said: “It has been built up from nothing, but it has gone from nothing to a success, it has gone well.
“We started here on the seafront in 2008 so we have gone straight through the recession and through to the other end.”
Miss Robus is selling for personal reasons.
The word has been spread locally in order to attract a buyer from Dover who knows their community, their customers and the area.
She said: “If it gets sold out of the town it will ruin it.
“Whoever buys it has to know the community really.”
