Tesco in Whitfield remains open despite suspected ram raid

A supermarket has opened its doors to shoppers despite a ram raid overnight.
Tesco in Whitfield near Dover was targeted at around 12.30am.Two cash machines were loaded onto a flat-bed truck which was driven in convoy with two Mitsubishi Shogun vehicles.
Two police cars which attempted to stop the group were rammed and damaged in Old Park Hill in Dover.
No one was hurt but inquiries to find those responsible are being carried out.
Pictures from the scene show the destruction caused by the suspected thieves.
The area remains sealed off with police tape.
But the store has confirmed it is open for business. It is open daily from 6am until 10pm.
