Tailbacks after crash triggers delays along key Port of Dover route

A key road to Kent’s busiest port is shut after an accident which caused tailbacks in the area.
The A2 Jubilee Way is shut between the Dover Eastern Docks roundabout and the A258 roundabout for Deal and St Margaret's At Cliffe.
The accident, which has caused delays in the area, is understood to have occurred around 11am.
A police spokesman told KentOnline: “Kent Police was called at 11.12am today to reports of a collision involving two cars on the A2, Jubilee Way, Dover.
“Officers are currently at the scene and a road closure is in place between the A20 Eastern Docks Roundabout and the A258 Duke of Yorks Roundabout whilst recovery of the vehicles is arranged.”
A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 11.19am to Jubilee Way, Dover, to reports of a crash.
“One fire engine attended to assist Kent Police and SECAmb (South East Coast Ambulance Service) . “
