Apex Drone Photography aerial video on January 6 of St James' development Dover

16:00, 15 January 2018

This remarkable new aerial video shows the St James' development continuing to shape up.

Drone footage, taken on January 6 by Apex Drone Photography, shows the latest progress on the £53 million leisure and retail development.

The footage shows the project within the magnificent background of the overlooking Dover Castle and Victoria Park.

The Travelodge is at the corner of Townwall Street and Woolcomber Street and can be seen across the road from the existing Dover Leisure Centre.

The six-screen Cineworld and businesses like the Nando's restaurant are on the same block.

The row of shops to the back of Townwall Street include Iceland's Food Warehouse, specialising in non-frozen foods.

The development is by Bond City and Dover District Council and is funded by landowners Legal and General.

It is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2018.
