A pizza takeaway had to temporarily close after running out of ingredients following two days of 'exceptional orders'.
It comes as statements from the Home Office reveal Immigration Enforcement spent thousands of pounds on emergency food for asylum seekers arriving in Kent.
Yesterday, a record number of asylum seekers – 1,185 on 33 boats – made the risky journey from France to the UK, despite the colder weather.
Seven hundred had made the journey the day before.
Following the arrivals, empty pizza boxes were photographed outside the Tug Haven centre in Dover, which is a short-term holding facility where asylum seekers are first taken from the beach or sea.

The Dover branch of Domino's had 200 orders on Wednesday and 500 orders yesterday and had to temporarily close after running out of ingredients.
It is not known how much was spent on the pizza.
Domino's declined to comment.
But the latest list of Home Office procurement card spending over the £500 mark reveals that in August, staff from Immigration Enforcement spent thousands on food for people seeking asylum in the UK.
On August 6, £534.47 was spent at Booker cash and carry in Folkestone for 'urgent food provision for migrants at Tug Haven, Dover'.
On August 10, £9,993 was spent at 'Enterprise Brands' over five transactions for urgent food provisions for those at Tug Haven, with another £7,497.66 spent there on August 12.
Enterprise Brands produces chilled meals, snacks and sandwiches.
'The British public have had enough of seeing people die in the Channel while ruthless criminal gangs profit from their misery...'
On August, 13, £1,231.75 was spent at Domino's in Dover, while another £2,100 was spent there on August 23 for 'evening food for migrants spending the late evening on Tug Haven'.
The same day, £942 was spent at Subway.
Payments to feed and refresh staff at the facility are also listed.
Last month, it was revealed £6,000 had been spent at Domino's in Dover for people arriving in July.
A Home Office spokesperson said: “The number of illegal migrants we have seen departing from France is unacceptable.
“The British public have had enough of seeing people die in the Channel while ruthless criminal gangs profit from their misery and our New Plan for Immigration will fix the broken system which encourages migrants to make this lethal journey.”
They added that the Home Office is "committed to delivering the best value for money for the British taxpayer" and ensures "all spending is carefully scrutinised to make sure that every pound of taxpayers’ money is spent in the most effective way".
"In order to fulfil our duty of care we may provide those at Tug Haven with hot food if required," they said.
Meanwhile, a search was carried out last night for three missing people who had attempted to cross the Channel in a kayak.
The French coastguard said a search for the trio was launched but suspended overnight.
