A village’s ticket office has been smashed in a suspected burglary.
Officers from the British Transport Police (BTP) were called to Kearsney train station, near Dover, yesterday afternoon (January 13).
The ticket office’s window was smashed multiple times causing it to crack and a door was also damaged during the incident, in Temple Ewell.
Following a review of CCTV, officers identified two people of interest who also reportedly trespassed onto the tracks.
A spokesman for BTP said: “We have taken photos of the damage caused, which as you can see is quite substantial.
“We have opened an official investigation and officers will now continue evidence gathering and circulate images of the persons in hope of an ID.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 293 of 13/01/2024.
