Traffic chaos as lorry sheds load
00:00, 08 August 2002
LONG queues built up on the A20 out of Dover this morning after a lorry shed part of its load while negotiating the Limekiln roundabout, near the access road to the cruise terminal.
Motorists were left stranded in swealtering heat after the accident which partially blocked the London-bound carriageway of the trunk road.
Contractors with a fork lift truck were called in to clear the load which was believed to be strawberry plants.
Some cars waiting in the queues overheated, causing more problems for those waiting behind them.
