Tributes have been paid to a man who was found dead in the car park of a former church.
Flowers have been laid at the site once used by the Living Well Church in Lydden, near Dover.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Canterbury Road at around 6.40am on Saturday.
The man – described as in his 60’s – was declared dead at the scene.
Police originally said that the death was ‘unexplained’, but have since ruled out suspicious circumstances.
Three bunches of flowers have been lain on a wall bordering the car park of the church, which has recently been sold to a new owner.
One names the victim as Paul, while another bears a note dedicated to ‘Dad’.
A police spokesman said: “At around 6.40am on Saturday September 23, Kent Police was called to Canterbury Road, Dover, alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue Service, where a man in his 60s was found deceased.
“His death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.”
