Actor Ben Roddy had a special costume when he joined children at a Healthy Eating Jamboree.
His dress depicted cakes, something that organisers of this event would recommend eating in moderation.
But the pantomime dame got the youngsters to contort themselves into more healthy foodstuffs, such as broccoli, bananas, grapes and salad dressings.
Mr Roddy will be one of the Ugly Sisters in year's Cinderella, which starts next month at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury.
He joined the children at Elvington Community Centre last Thursday.
The 48 Year 6 children took part in tasting and making dishes such as salads, smoothies, crudities and dips, plus vegetable and sweet treats.
Another activity was run by the Kent Heritage Mining Foundation at Betteshanger who detailed the food the miners used to eat when working in the pits.
The youngsters involved were from the primary schools of Eythorne Elvington, St Margaret's-at-Cliffe, Langdon and St Joseph's RC in Aylesham.
They were given a children's cook book and lettuce seeds at the end of the session.
The event was organised and funded by Tilmanstone Salads at Eythorne.
Cinderella is at the Marlowe from November 23 until January 6.
It also stars Harry Reid who was Ben Mitchell in EastEnders from 2014 until this January.
