Villagers chase thief after shop raid, Sandwich Road, Eythorne

Villagers chased a thief after he snatched a shop till.
He had entered a shop just moments after it opened and stolen the till tray, which had a quantity of cash.
The drama happened at 6.45am today at Sandwich Road, Eythorne.
Bystanders ran after the crook as far as Flax Court Lane.
Police are treating this as a burglary.
Senior investigating officer, Det Insp Cara Ferguson said: "We want to speak to drivers who perhaps were on their way to work at that time of the morning in the area and captured something of interest on their dashcams.
"This is as well as anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious as it could help our investigation."
Police are now looking for a man described as around 5ft 6ins tall, and was wearing a balaclava and a camouflage jacket.
