Firefighters say 100 hay bales were destroyed last night in a suspected arson attack.
Crews advised residents around the Upper Road area of St Margaret's at Cliffe, Dover, to keep their doors and windows shut due to a large amount of smoke in the area as they tackled the flames just after 7pm.
Two fire engines tackled the blaze and used main jets to extinguish the fire.
Emergency services left the scene shortly before 9 pm last night.
No injuries were reported.
A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson added that the cause of the fire is not known but is being treated as suspicious.
