The police and firefighters were called to Jubilee Way in the early hours of this morning to reports of a single car crash.

The call was made around 4.15am - where the female driver of a blue Peugeot 206 had slipped down a bank on the A256 Dover to Sandwich by-pass.

A statement from Kent Fire and Rescue reads: "Crews cleared a pathway to the vehicle and assisted the ambulance service before releasing her and walking her to safety."

Secamb transported the woman to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be serious.

Emergency services were at the scene for around an hour.
