Mitch Brundle has signed for Dagenham & Redbridge on a two-year deal set to start on July 1.
The versatile midfielder left Dover this summer having contributed eight goals and a team-high 13 assists across all competitions last season.
Brundle had been offered a new contract at Crabble, which Whites boss Andy Hessenthaler revealed would have made him the club's highest earner.
Brundle played a starring role in helping Dover escape National League relegation and was named Supporters' Player of the Season at April's presentation.
In a message to Dover on Twitter, Brundle wrote: "I want to thank you for all the support over the past two seasons. I really enjoyed my time playing for Dover, and it was a huge honour to captain the club.
"Thank you all for for voting me as your 'Home and Away Supporters' Player of the Season' - it really means a lot to me.
"The club will always have a special place in my heart as it is where I have enjoyed playing the most and also played my best.
"I look forward to coming to see you all soon. I wish you all the best for the next season and the future, and thank you again, you've been amazing."
Discussing his exit earlier in the week, Dover manager Hessenthaler said: "I'm gutted because I loved him, I think he's been brilliant. He's been a great servant to Dover, but he's also got to think about Mitch Brundle and his family.
"I can't thank him enough for what he did for me when I was manager last year, he was massive for us."
