Scott Doe has left Dover Athletic by mutual consent and signed for Glenn Tamplin's Romford.
Defender Doe, 31, arrived at Crabble in December 2018 but he had not started for Whites since their 4-2 Kent Senior Cup victory at Faversham on January 7.
Manager Andy Hessenthaler had said Doe won’t play for the football club again after their 1-1 draw against Hartlepool on January 11.
He said: "Scott Doe won’t play for the football club again.
"I’ve had a conversation with Scott now. He’s been really honest, he can’t do full-time training any more.
"His body can’t go through it any more.
"He needs to look at perhaps going two nights a week."
He now has joined Isthmian North club Romford, managed by much-discussed former Billericay owner Tamplin.
Doe had made 37 appearances in all competitions for Dover, scoring three goals.
Meanwhile Whites will host Gillingham in their Kent Senior Cup quarter-final tie on March 10, kick-off at 7.30pm, while their league trip to Eastleigh has been re-arranged for March 17.
