Dover Athletic have loaned in a Premier League goalkeeper.
Adam Parkes, 21, has joined the National League side on a season-long loan from top-flight side Watford.
Parkes trained with the team on Thursday night for the first time and is no stranger to the level. He played eight games for Barnet last season, picking up clean sheets in his last two outings.
Before moving to Watford in January 2019 he had been on the books of Southampton and had been capped by England at under-17 level. He signed his first pro deal at St Mary’s in December 2016.
Following his move to Watford he has been a regular in their under-23 side and was often in and around the first team, although he hasn’t made a senior appearance for the club. He signed a new one year deal with the club in May.
The goalkeeper has also gained senior experience with a loan spell at Havant.
