Dover racer Jake Dixon is set to be on the move.
Dixon has agreed to join the Marc VDS team for the 2025 Moto2 World Championship as he leaves the Aspar team.
Marc VDS has raced in Moto2 since its first season in 2010, in which time they have won three world titles with Tito Rabat, Franco Morbidelli and Alex Marquez.
“They have been at the top in Moto2 for such a long time and won three titles, and all I can say is it’s an absolute pleasure to be joining Marc VDS Racing next season.
“I feel I’m ready for a new challenge and a new adventure, and moving to this team gives me so much motivation.
“I really can’t wait to get started next year and look forward to bringing more success to the team.”
Dixon, 28, has been with the Aspar team since 2022 and has made huge strides this season.
He wrote: “What a journey it has been - you brought me into the Championship and gave me a chance to prove myself, and I thank you so much for that.
“I truly love every single one of you in the team.
“You all have been such a massive part of it and got me where I am today.
“There have been so many amazing moments, (from) my first-ever podium to my first-ever win. We did all of these things together!
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will keep pushing and giving all I have for these last nine races we still have.”
Dixon is expected to replace Filip Salac, who Marc VDS signed on a two-year contract from the beginning of the season, but has struggled to find top form so far.
