Dover ended a four-game losing streak against Eastleigh in stunning fashion in the Vanarama Conference clash at Crabble.

Chris Kinnear's side registered their first win of the season after coming from 1-0 down to beat the previously unbeaten Hampshire visitors 2-1.

And they did it with 10 men following defender Sean Raggett's sending-off in stoppage-time at the end of the first half when the score was 1-1.

Jack Midson gave Eastleigh the lead in the 16th minute when he slotted home James Constable's pass.

Dover suffered a blow, 10 minutes, later after Ricky Modeste hobbled off and was replaced by summer signing Christian Nanetti.

But it was two other new signings, defender Sean Francis and striker Stefan Payne, who combined to get Dover back on level terms two minutes before the break.

Francis, making his first start in place of the injured Tom Wynter, played in Payne, who slid the ball past former Dover goalkeeper Ross Flitney for his first goal since joining Athletic from AFC Hornchurch.

That wasn't the last action of the first half, though. Raggett was shown a straight red after tangling with Constable in stoppage time.

Despite being a man down, it was Dover who pressed for a winner after the break, and Elder delivered one by heading home captain Craig Stone's cross 12 minutes from time.

The impressive win moves Dover five places up the table to 16th.

They play at Woking on Monday.

Dover: Walker, Stone, Francis, Sterling, Kinnear, Raggett, Orlu, Modeste (Nanetti 25mins), Elder, Lock, Payne. Subs not used: Bellamy, Murphy, Deverdics, Reid.

Attendance: 787.
