Former Dover defender Myles Judd has agreed to join National League South side Welling.

Judd, 25, is a product of Leyton Orient’s Academy and was named Whites’ 2022/23 season player-of-the-year before agreeing to stay last summer - only to then controversially leave for rivals Hemel in pre-season.

He earlier had made 66 senior appearances for Orient and played his part as the east London club won the National League title in 2019.

“I’m a right-back, so I like to get forward and get crosses in and I don’t mind putting a challenge in,” Judd told the Wings’ club website.

“The gaffer (Rod Stringer) is definitely the sort of manager I want to play with. He’s honest and says it how it is, which is the sort of manager I definitely want to play with.

“I’ve played with Reece Grant at Dover and Hemel before.

“I spoke with Granty and he said he’s the sort of manager I would get on with.”

Fellow defenders Charlie Naylor and Bailey Akehurst, part of the Dover squad which suffered 2023/24 National League South relegation, have agreed to switch to new Isthmian Premier rivals Chatham this summer.
