DOVER Athletic manager Clive Walker admits that player-wise he is “down to the bare bones” as he prepares for this Saturday’s visit to Chester.

Tony Browne (ankle), and Neil Le Bihan (back), both missed Monday night’s 2-2 home draw with Woking, while Jamie Day is again suspended for the Chester game and Darren Davies is ruled out for the rest of the season with knee ligament damage.

Walker said after Monday’s game: “We are down to the bare bones now, but I have got no other choice but just to get on with it.”

Skipper Keith Scott, who ended his four-month goal drought against Woking, is also doubtful for Saturday because of a knee injury while Jimmy Aggrey, former boss Neville Southall’s first signing, has left the club.

On the positive side, Tommy Tyne’s loan spell with Welling finishes on Sunday, and so the striker will be available for Whites’ last two games against Morecambe and Yeovil.

Walker added: “I am hoping that Tony Browne will be fit for Saturday, while Neil Le Bihan is 50-50.”
