Southall introduces strick disciplinary code
00:00, 14 February 2002
DOVER Athletic boss Neville Southall has started dishing out fines to his players for minor transgressions. He said: “I’ve been fining them £5 and £10 for things like not wearing the right kit for training.
“We’ve got them some new kit for training and if they don’t wear it, then it’s just stupid. They think I’m doing it for a bit of fun, but it’s to try and instil the sort of discipline which they need to show on the pitch.”
Meanwhile, Dover's reserve striker John Ovard has joined Sittingbourne until the end of the season, with a view to making the move permanent if he impresses the Bourne management.
