Tempers flair as Dover lose tight battle

Hayes 2 Dover Athletic 1
DOVER slipped to defeat against fellow relegation strugglers Hayes in a bad-tempered match in which four players were sent off. Neville Southall's side got off to a splendid start with midfielder Jamie Day firing them in front with his first goal for the club after six minutes.
But Hayes equalised before half-time through Peter Holdsgrove, and then Dean Clark put them in front after 57 minutes.
Then came rash of red cards, with referee Kevin Barnes dismissing Ian Hodge and Lee Holsgrave of Hayes, and Dover's Jimmy Strouts and Darren Davies for various misdemeanours.
