Dover goalkeeper Mitch Walker is confident the goals are coming, despite his side drawing a blank in the goalless draw against Chester at Crabble on Saturday.

Whites had 17 shots during the Vanarama National League clash, with five on target, and Walker knows it could have been a very different result against the unbeaten visitors.

Walker said: "We know the quality we've got going forward and on another day, well, we could have scored four or five.

"I am sure that we will have a game when we have one or two chances and score both of them.

"Unfortunately for us they didn't go in against Chester - that's just how football is at times.

"The positive thing is that we are creating plenty of chances and we'd all be a bit worried if we were not.

"Besides, any point and clean sheet you get in this league is always pleasing."

And Walker played a big part in earning Whites a share of the points after producing a stunning save to keep out a 25-yard rocket from John Rooney, the brother of England and Manchester United strike Wayne, in the first half.

Walker said: "He (Rooney) curled one past me when we played up there last season and I was determined not to let him do that again this time around."

The result sees Dover drop from ninth to 13th while Chester slip from third to fifth.

Whites travel to Aldershot on Tuesday (7.45pm).
