Hednesford 2 Dover Athletic 2
DOVER came with in a whisker of ending Hednesford's unbeaten home record, but an equaliser in the first minute of injury time denied them the three points.
Whites' goalkeeper and assistant manager Paul Hyde was beaten by two class strikes. He said aftwerwards: "They were excellent well-worked goals. But we should have won about 4-1 or 5-1. We created a hell of a lot of chances."
Hyde was left horribly exposed for the Hednesford opener on 14 minutes as Paul Ware sold a dummy to open up a space in the penalty area. With a culpable lack of defensive cover in front of him he was left with an open goal and fired home from from eight yards.
Whites equalised on the hour through Danny Chapman, netting his second goal in a fortnight. Matt Carruthers crowned a superb performance by putting Whites ahead for the first time on 73 minutes, beating Gayle from 25 yards with a fine curling shot.
But Hednesford hit back through defender Stuart Ryder, who chipped the ball over Hyde to make it 2-2.
