Northbourne Park School is a day and boarding school for nursery to 13-year-olds. It is based in rural Kent, set amongst hundreds of acres of beautiful woods and parkland, but within minutes from the A256 near Betteshanger, Deal.
At Northbourne Park, children receive bespoke learning in small classes and outstanding pastoral care, which sees them develop into happy, well-rounded individuals who go on to secure top academic results.
There is a vibrant, international school community with a focus on language learning from a young age and a comprehensive Outdoor Education programme, which channels holistic learning through play and exploration, alongside many other excellent facilities and opportunities for pupils to benefit from.
Northbourne Park School enjoys lots of academic successes, with older students achieving in the 11+ exams for Kent Grammar Schools and Common Entrance (13+). Pupils have gone on to gain scholarships to study at King’s Canterbury, Tonbridge, Benenden, St Edmund’s Canterbury, Stowe, The Leys Cambridge, Lancing and Kent College, to name just a few.
Many of Northbourne Park’s students use the boarding facilities. This isn’t just for overseas pupils, but local ones too, and there’s also the opportunity to make use of weekly or flexi-boarding, as well as ‘Sleepovers’ for one-off overnight stays with friends
Others, who live within the surrounding local area, benefit from the Northbourne Park School bus service. With routes covering Hythe, Folkestone, Dover, Deal, Walmer and St Margaret’s, it helps busy families juggle school pick-ups and drop-offs with work, and reduces the number of cars on the road, thus offering an environmentally-friendly way to travel.
Due to popular demand, Northbourne Park School has added Thanet and Sandwich to its school bus routes. There are daily morning and afternoon services, run by a friendly team of bus drivers, for new stops in Westwood Cross in Thanet, Pfizer and Sandwich. Like the other routes, it is efficient, reliable and available to pupils of all ages.
To help parents make an education for their child at the school a reality, Northbourne Park offers various opportunities for scholarships and bursaries for both boarders and day pupils.
