Canterbury College has launched a new course which will provide students with excellent credentials that will boost any Higher Education application.
Being the only provider of the UAL Foundation Diploma in Art and Design in East Kent, the College’s renowned Canterbury School of Visual Arts will be leading the one-year courses which offer a Level 4 qualification.
The Foundation course will enable learners to explore new ways of working with materials, techniques, and processes, boosting their creative versatility.
They will also get the opportunity to focus on specific disciplines as part of the course, with four specialist pathways on offer. These are Fine Art, Graphic Design and Illustration, Photography, and Fashion and Textiles. To ensure students are well prepared to enter any creative workplace with confidence, the College boasts a wide range of equipment and industry-standard training spaces.
A dark room and analogue cameras, a ceramics workshop and kiln, iMac suites and a printroom are all on offer to learners on the Foundation course.
An added bonus of the course is its location, taking place in a College known for its vibrant community and excellent support. With events, trips and exhibitions taking place year-round, there’s always something to do and new friends to make.
