Cooking and tasting were among highlights of an apple festival at Brogdale Farm, Faversham.

More than 3,500 visitors were able to enjoy a wide range of activities including apple cooking demonstrations, fruit tasting and guided tours of the National Fruit Collection which boasts 2,300 varieties of apples and 650 types of pear.

There was also a husky dog display, archery and a hog roast.

Brogdale Collections marketing officer Sally Roger said: “It was just brilliant.

“There was standing room only at the cookery demonstrations, and the fruit experts were inundated with customer questions.”
