Why armed police were at Brenley Coroner on M2 near Faversham

Armed police were called to help the Metropolitan Police track down a suspect in connection with an assault in London.
Officers were spotted checking cars on the M2 at Brenley Corner at 8.10pm on Sunday.
Kent Police confirmed they were working in partnership with officers from the Met.
Witnesses said officers were pulling over cars and carrying out searches.
A spokesman for the Met said the operation was to arrest a man wanted for an assault reported in Ilford, east London.
