Car fire on M2 between Sittingbourne and Faversham

Fire crews were called to a car fire on the M2 this evening.
The blaze started between Sittingbourne and Faversham at about 5.40pm.
Two fire engines went to the scene on the London-bound carriageway.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to tackle the blaze and left the scene about 30 minutes later.
No casualties were reported and it is believed the fire was started accidentally.
