Couple attacked by gang of 16 teenagers in St Catherine's Drive, Faversham

A man and his girlfriend were set upon by a gang of 16 teenagers in Faversham.

The group targeted the couple in St Catherine's Drive just before 1am on Sunday.

They were walking home when the attackers reportedly started shouting at them.

The man was then punched and kicked. His girlfriend was also assaulted.

When he tried to use his mobile phone to call for help, it was snatched from him and stolen by the group.

The gang is described as being made up of around 16 boys and girls, aged between 16 and 19.

Police have now launched an appeal for witnesses.
