Crash near Brenley Corner on A299 Thanet Way causes long delays

Three people have been arrested following a crash on the A299 Thanet Way.
The smash happened on the London-bound carriageway before Brenley Corner at about 6.30pm.
Police could not confirm how many vehicles were involved but said the arrests were part of an "ongoing operation."
A Kent Police spokesman said: "The Brenley corner incident is connected to an on-going police operation."
Traffic built up on the Thanet Way for miles before clearing quickly after about 45 minutes.
An eyewitness said: "The traffic has built up for miles behind me. We are completely stationary at the moment."
