An accident closed one lane of the London-bound carriageway of the M2 between Faversham and Sittingbourne, for more than an hour this evening.
The crash prompted police to issue a warning to motorists to expect delays.
The incident happened just past the entry slip at Junction 6 with the A251 Ashford Road at Faversham and is affecting traffic up to Junction 5 with the A249 at Stockbury roundabout.
However, at about 6.45pm all lanes were reopened.
Police spokesman Martin Very said: "We were called at around 4.50pm regarding a collision involving one vehicle on the London-bound carriageway of the M2 near Faversham.
"Officers attended the scene where a 52-year-old man from Gravesend was arrested on suspicion failing to provide a specimen of breath for a breath test and was taken into custody."
