An accident involving a van has led to further delays for motorists avoiding Operation Brock.
The crash on the M2 and vehicles being checked to prevent lorries heading for the Port of Dover, from trying to bypass the holding areas, has led to even more congestion on the motorway coastbound.
Long queues leading up to J7 for the A2 at Brenley Corner have been reported.
One lane was closed and there was queueing traffic between J5 for Sittingbourne and Maidstone at the Stockbury Roundabout, and J6 for Faversham.
As of 9.20am, the van had been recovered and all lanes had reopened.
Police have been contacted for further information.
